Terms of Access

A. What these terms cover

These terms govern access to paydesk.site and to any paid item offered by its publisher. Using the site indicates acceptance of them. Anyone who does not accept them should not use the site.

B. Who may use it

The site and any paid item are intended solely for people aged 18 or over with the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement. The site is not directed at minors, and no purchase may be made by one.

C. What this publication is

Pay Desk publishes descriptive summaries of research about platform labour, online side income and how monetization studies are measured and reported. The content is informational and editorial. It is not professional advice of any kind, is not an assessment of any individual situation, and is not a method, system, formula, protocol or sequence of steps presented as producing an outcome.

D. No professional relationship

Reading this site, corresponding with the publisher or purchasing any item creates no professional, advisory, fiduciary, consulting, employment or agency relationship.

E. No claim as to results

The publisher makes no representation, warranty or claim about results, consequences or effects arising from reading, using or applying anything published here or in any paid item. Findings summarised here describe study populations and samples; a statement about a population is not a statement about an individual.

F. Licence to use the content

Notes are available for personal, non-commercial reading. A short passage may be quoted with attribution to Pay Desk and a link to the source page. Systematic reproduction, republication, redistribution, translation, inclusion in a training dataset, or automated copying of the site in whole or in substantial part requires prior written permission.

A purchaser of a paid item receives a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access it for their own use. The licence does not permit sharing access credentials, resale, sublicensing or public distribution.

G. Intellectual property

Text, layout, stylesheets, graphics and the name Pay Desk belong to the publisher, except where third-party material is identified as such. Research findings, data and quotations remain the property of their authors and publishers and are summarised here under applicable quotation provisions, with attribution.

H. Acceptable use

• No attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure.
• No automated scraping, mirroring or bulk retrieval without written permission.
• No use of the site or the publisher's name to imply an endorsement, an affiliation or a claim of results.
• No interference with the availability of the site for other readers.

I. External links

Notes link to research papers, institutional pages and other external resources. The publisher does not control them and is not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability. A link is a citation, not an endorsement.

J. Availability

The site is provided on an “as available” basis. No uninterrupted access is warranted, and any part of the site or any note may be modified, suspended or withdrawn at any time. Withdrawals and material amendments are recorded under the corrections policy on the Method page.

K. Limitation of liability

To the extent applicable law permits, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from use of this site. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer rights under the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Law No. 8.078/1990).

L. Payments, chargebacks and disputes

Payments for any paid item are processed by a third-party payment processor under its own terms. Where a purchaser believes a charge is wrong, the publisher asks to be contacted in writing at support@paydesk.site before a chargeback is opened, so the matter can be settled directly and, where the Refund Policy applies, refunded without a dispute.

Where a chargeback is opened, the publisher will supply the payment processor with the transaction record, the correspondence about the purchase and evidence of delivery. Access to a paid item may be suspended while a chargeback is open.

M. Termination

Access to a paid item may be withdrawn for breach of these terms, for sharing access credentials, or for automated retrieval of the site. Where access is withdrawn for any other reason, the Refund Policy applies.

N. Changes to these terms

These terms may be amended; the date at the top of this page marks the current version. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of it, and a purchase is governed by the terms in force when it was made.

O. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Disputes fall to the courts of the publisher's domicile in Brazil, except where mandatory consumer protection law gives the consumer the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their own domicile, which right is preserved.
